Taylor Swift Fails To Land Trophies despite of Five Nominations At ACM Awards

Taylor Swift is nominated for five awards at the 48th annual event and will also team up with Tim McGraw and Keith Urban for a performance of the track Highway Don’t Care.

Taylor Swift sported a gown befitting Country royalty on Sunday, stealing the show at the Academy of Country Music Awards in Las Vegas in a stunning metallic dress. The 23-year-old star wore her blonde hair straight and up in a chic ponytail, teaming the unusual chain-mail style old-gold gown with just a pair of subtle jewelled earrings.

Taylor was up for four gongs on the night, but despite her massive huge fan based and the massive success of her last album, Red, the I Knew You Were Trouble songstress failed to win over the ACM judges. The Female Vocalist of the Year crown was snatched by Miranda Lambert, but the biggest shock of the night was when the Entertainer of the Year award was handed to Luke Bryan over Swift, Lambert and other favourite Blake Shelton. The other two categories she was nominated in, Album of the Year and Video of the Year, were won by Eric Church and Little Big Town respectively.

They love the way I walk, Because I walk with a vengeance And they listen to me when I talk because I ain’t pretending. Took a while and now I understand just where I’m going. I know the world and I know who I am bout time I show it. And I’m moving, round like that. When I do it I don’t look back. I can be bad if I want, I can go slow all night long. I’m a grown woman, do whatever I want Now Betcha I run this!” Sick song, I need the album in my life right now tho! Go to see her at the end of the month and I can’t sing my little heart out if I don’t know the words

Taylor Swift Third Highest Paid Woman Earns $57 Million

Taylor Swift’s earns $57million on 2012 makes her the third highest-paid woman in entertainment, behind only Oprah Winfrey and Britney Spears. Hathaway, by comparison — who starred in two of the biggest films of the year, The Dark Knight Rises and Les Miserables, for which she won an Oscar — earned $10 million in 2012.

You can continue to mock Taylor Swift for her infamous songwriting method and diss her crazy love life all you want… she still earned a whopping $57 million in 2012 alone (pun unintended) from her hit breakup songs, which makes her the 3rd highest-paid female celebrity according to Parade‘s “What People Earn” issue.

In fact, add up Academy Award-winning actress Anne Hathaway’s $10 million and Brad Pitt‘s $35.5 million—already including his $7 million from his bizarre Chanel no.5 commercial—and she still comes off the winner. Another high-earning celeb on Parade’s list is pop superstar Justin Bieber, who earned $55 million last year, thanks to touring, investments in tech startups, and his women’s fragrance line. According to the magazine, the 19-year-old “Boyfriend” singer made an estimated $6,261 per hour.

To those people who say “Taylor Swift should write a song called ‘Maybe I’m The Problem.”:
She knows she makes mistakes too so how about you haters go get a life okay bye.

Emily Blunt wears Miu miu at the Critics Choice Awards

Looking stunning as always here’s Emily Blunt giving you a serious dose of old-school glamour. Emily looks heavenly in her white embellished detail Miu Miu dress, the cream dream was fairly straightforward in the front, but the sparkling, crystal-studded neckline gave way to a stunning crisscross back. She was definitely better with her back turned.Emily’s dress looks so sleek and elegant, kinda normal in the front but definitely dramatic at the back.

At last night’s prestigious ceremony, Jennifer Lawrence won the awards for Best Actress in an Action Movie for Hunger Games and Best Actress in a Comedy for Silver Linings Playbook, not to mention the group prize for Best Acting Ensemble.

The 22-year-old actress is nominated for Best Actress (Silver Linings Playbook as Tiffany Maxwell), Best Actress in an Action Movie (The Hunger Games), and Best Actress in a Comedy (Silver Linings Playbook).

Another worthy winner was Ben Affleck, whose directing work on Argo was snubbed by the Oscars yesterday. He took home the awards for Best Director and Best Picture for the film and told the audience that it had cheered him right up.

He said: “I would like to thank the Academy. I’m kidding, I’m kidding. This is the one that counts. No, I do want to thank the Broadcast Film Critics Association. It is very, very cool for me. There was a time when the Ben Affleck’s Critics’ Award was a Saturday Night Live sketch.”
